one of my latest paintings. I’ll always find solace in my paints and love painting the Capitol to heal from the trauma I endured. But I’ve found new inspiration in seascapes and nautical things, true to my roots, and have enjoyed this growth and expansion of subjects I feel inspired by 💙

After a little hiatus, I'm back! I've been busy this summer and a few highlights include traveling to coastal Canada, painting a lot in prep for an upcoming art show, and just enjoying being outside. 🐋
One of my recent works inspired by my trip to Canada, with sea glass collected behind it.

Officers who defended the Capitol on Jan. 6 asked a judge to let their lawsuit over an honorary plaque proceed, arguing its current placement still violates federal law.
“Hidden from visitors, the plaque’s current location is no better than the basement where it sat for years,” the filing states.

Police say Jan. 6 plaque is unlawfully hidden from public at U.S. Capitol
Two police officers argue in a court filing that their lawsuit should continue because a law required a prominent display for the plaque.

The location of the plaque that was just hung, is in a place that it will not be visible to the public. While I am thankful for this first step, our lawsuit continues until they plaque is hung in accordance with the law.

How many January 6 insurrectionists were armed? Is the position now that Capitol police could have shot them all? Just trying to keep up

This. So sad
Just in case you thought MAGA and Republicans were about “backing the blue” and “law and order”, they spent the day blaming January 6. on Police officers.

The most haunting clip of Jan 6th videos for me, is Commander Glover's radio transmission: "10–33. I repeat, 10–33 West Front of the Capitol...We have been flanked, and we've lost the line."
10-33 is the ultimate distress code, and something I rarely heard in over 5 years. It still gives me chills
