A look at BattleTech's new Standard Missions introduced in the Core Rulebook #BattleTech
Standard Missions in BattleTech
BattleTech's new Core Rulebook introduces the idea of Standard Missions. These are meant to be used for casual games where both players can build a force at the agreed upon Scale, roll on a couple of charts for mission parameters, and get playing. Scale Standard Missions use a Scale rating to determine the BV available to each player. Unlike in Hot Spots, each Scale here is 2,000 BV with no separate BSP allowance.
