I smack you with Claire Hummel's immaculate and detailed understanding of costume design, which she got by studying historical references, which made her strong, which you will not become by relying on AI

Man its like just so invasive and gross feeling to see "Edit Image" appear over other people's images. Musk decided to give us the only kind of gift he can for christmas, sickening disappointment. Best of luck out there folks.

1/5 Seeing some tech/ai slop accounts online claiming that AI has always been used in games, pretending GenAi is a part of that, when its absolutely not.

Yes, AI has always been a part of games in: NPC behaviors, Data Mining, PCG’s (Procedural Content Generation) etc

All different from GenAi!

An analysis of X posts from the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology suggests it is overwhelmingly pro-AI.

I analysed the sentiment of every X post from DSIT that mentioned "AI" this year. Of 122 posts, 110 were positive about AI, and only 7 mentioned its downsides.

So the guy himself is saying they arent really even seeing productivity gains? He said they are just using AI because they are afraid of being left behind. He is inviting this public scorn by repeating techbro talking points for no benefit at all. The mind of a CEO is fascinating.
If I had known the two paragraphs about genAI in my article today would be so controversial, I would have expanded them a bit! Here's a rough transcript of the relevant portion of my interview with Swen Vincke, so everyone has all the context. (Full article here: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...)

Not surprised. They were already milking their IP into obscurity, so it makes sense. Disney and it's subsidiaries permanently off my list of companies that ever get my money.

Already weren't going to subscribe to Disney+ again after they put it on there too.
Not surprised, of course. But still. Steal from the creators who made your company what it is at a large enough scale, and you reward the thieves with wealth the likes of which none of us will ever see.
