Painting cozy rooms until I get faster. This editor's office took 4 hours — practice for a comic I'm making about a tiny indie publisher 📚 #art #digitalart #illustration #cozyart

A digital painting of a cluttered home office at night, lit warm gold by a floor lamp. A man in glasses and a plaid shirt sits at a desk on the left, working at two glowing blue computer monitors. Bookshelves packed with coloured spines line the wall above him. On the right, a red sofa sits beneath framed pictures, with a stack of papers on a side table. The style is loose, with sketchy black linework over painted colour.

Comic Page Test.

A big milestone for me. I learned a lot when actually creating a comic book page. One of biggest challenges was keeping everything consistent across multiple panels.

The second post has the full page (CW: guns / firearms).

my friends’ story: at their middle school, they were having an assembly when the principal was talking about how they installed smoke & vape detectors in the bathrooms. The detectors went off in the middle of her talking.

Andrew Male @andrewmale.bsky.social · 15d

Bizarre things that happened in your assembly: A neighbour of one of the teachers gave us a five-minute lecture about kwashiorkor which involved him reciting a list of his favourite words (yes, ‘kwashiorkor’ was one of them). Included the unforgettable phrase, “Diarrhoea, another beautiful word.”
