To do a proper introduction...

I'm Chris. I'm deeply a security engineer at heart. I love building things and solving problems. I'm an Air Force veteran with time on active duty and in the reserves. I previously worked at MITRE and Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). (1/7)

Anyone working for #Microsoft should be embarrassed to do so. #Windows is such a garbage product. We made a terrible mistake allowing that company to take such a large market share that almost ensures vendor lock-in. I don't use it personally, but have to manage it for clients. I pity the users.

I really hope John Ternus can undo all of Tim Apple's MBA spreadsheet management mistakes. A once great company has been reduced significantly by the application of idiotic greed. I used to love my #Apple products, but now I just use them because they aren't #Windows.

Hallie Shoffner, Chris Jones, Fred Love... Come on #Arkansas. I need a solid reason to stay here. Unbearable heat is not a good reason. Let's flip some of these morons out of office and bring in some folks who actually care for others more than their own political careers.

ArkTimes did a good article on Hallie Shoffner's Senate campaign. Worth a read: arktimes.com/arkansas-blo... #arpx #senate #arkansas
Inside Hallie Shoffner’s underdog campaign to unseat Tom Cotton - Arkansas Times
We spent a summer day on the campaign trail with Hallie Shoffner to see how the political newcomer is mounting a surprisingly competitive challenge to Tom Cotton.

Not so much. I'd rather identify with another state. My state is bad on many levels. But I'm also less proud to be an American than 5-10 years ago, so there's that. I still believe there is worse than here, but also that we've deluded ourselves with the notion that we are the best.
I'd be interested in some thoughts from Americans on here on an idea:

Over the last 5 years, have you found yourself identifying more with your home state than the US as a whole over time?

Dear app developers,
I have never had the desire to review an app. Prompting me to leave a review doe not make me want to do it any more. Making me click multiple times to dismiss your "nudge" and get back to using the app just makes me want to uninstall it.
Sincerely,

Got stuck behind a cybertruck on the interstate today. The handicapped license plate was enough of a fulfilled stereotype but the 10 mph below the speed limit was just perfection.

The general public really needs to get a better understanding of how computers work. It's frustrating having to deal with users who wholeheartedly believe some program is screwing with them when the real problem is just them having almost zero understanding of how things work.

So much for low cost of living?
Proposed $6B data center near Little Rock not only plans to get power from Entergy, which could drive up bills for its customers statewide, but also plans to tap into Central Arkansas Water to serve the voracious demand for water that data centers need for cooling.
