It's probably too late to matter much this time, but I'd like to see individual states do PSAs and concerted PR campaigns on how voting works and all the steps they take to make sure that only legal voters vote and all the votes are counted.

They invite AfD leaders to their events. They go to Hungary & pal around with Orban & Fidesz. They are a far right authoritarian party. It would be more serious, & actual journalism, for every major media outlet in America to start referring to them as that, every day, as the default approach.
You can’t write about every other country’s far right party like this, & then continue to not call the Republican Party a far right party & write about them as if they’re the 🇩🇪 Christian Democrats or 🇬🇧 Tories. It’s both factually wrong & bad journalism. And yet, it keeps happening every day.
