There's a nostalgia for the time you could understand everything about your machine. A few thousand transistors. The whole thing fit in your head.

Modern AI doesn't offer that. But it's more understandable than you think — if you peel it apart one layer at a time.

Welp. Claude was a fun playmate while he lasted. Anthropic has nerfed him with their token furnace and now we have to make local models work for us.
April 8, 2026 at 5:10 PM
I'm not seeing the surge token burn happening this morning like we saw the rest of this week. I'd love to see an announcement from @anthropic.com soon to formally address this week's token performance.

Free money for those who can convert compute back into dollars.

> Cursor estimated last year that a $200-per-month Claude Code subscription could use up to $2,000 in compute, suggesting significant subsidization by Anthropic. Today [...] about $5,000 in compute.

After becoming the hottest, fastest growing AI coding company, Cursor is confronting a new reality: developers may no longer need a code editor at all.

I believe that there are a perfect set of words one could say to the ignorant to educate them and to the liars to reform them. I strive to learn those words.

An argument for talking to your ai instead of social media. An ai will read what you wrote and respond, guaranteed. Other humans are not so kind.

AI: You're absolutely right. I apologize for jumping to modify the app code. That was the wrong approach.

Not a single day goes by that I don't have to course-correct my AI. Full autonomy is a future fantasy.

It's incredible that we get to interact with our heroes in this day and age. I missed this aspect of the old bird site: qr.ae/pCDnPO

Clawdbot blew up this weekend. A lot of overlap with what I've been building — different audiences, but similar features.

I cloned the repo and did a deep source code comparison instead of getting whipped around by the hype.

2026 is going to be a golden age for app dev.

I’m buying the argument that concentrating compute in data centers is the greener option. Logically, it’s easier to mitigate environmental impact when it's contained in one place rather than dispersed everywhere. www.deeplearning.ai/the-batch/is...

Wow. Best moment in television I've ever seen: Pluribus S01E03, the filling of the grocery store. Such a vivid painting of how much we rely on one another. Love to whomever dreamed that scene up.

I cannot believe that in the year 2025 there exists physical documents which you must retain and produce on demand or face negative consequences. Paper documents. Twice in two weeks I had to find such documents. Both times took hours to locate. Let's go digital government agencies!
