As for Estelle and Joshua... I'm sorry, but this couple did not click for me. Sure, they're cute, but that whole forcing the sibling thing on them almost non-stop makes it really awkward. Even when they finally become a couple they still see themselves as siblings.

Finally finished Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. While it is a good game, but I don't think I'll be revisiting it any time soon. I normally don't get burnt out from RPGs, but this game became the exception for whatever reason.

On the final chapter of Trails 2nd Chapter. This journey has been... something. Aside its issues my biggest gripe with it is the amount of burnout I get from each session which is not normal for me. Before anybody asks, I'm fine and I do take breaks, it's just this game tires me out.

So I'm in chapter 6 in Trails 2nd Chapter and... yeah, this game has problems. 1st Chapter felt more focused whereas the 2nd Chapter just wanders with its plot a little too long and too often. It even put my Switch 2 to sleep mode and forcing me to change it.

Finally! A *good* boss fight in this damn game. It took 3 chapters to finally get not one but two great fights that happen back-to-back. Can the the 3rd and final chapter of Trails in the Sky remake *not* have garbage story fights please?*

Wow, Zin--one of the best members in the prequel--can counter all the new bs in the sequel. It's like the first 2 chapters were expecting you to have Anelace before he joins. Oh wait, she leaves after the prologue and you don't get a choice to keep her. I get that's how it was in the OG but c'mon.

I call bs on that because I *know* I didn't hit all of them during my 5 attempts and all 5 still did their AOE regardless. So that attention to detail is moot when they can just bypass that check.

After the second major boss fight in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter I am convinced that the devs are dogshit at making their own game. Because who the fuck puts 5 bosses in a single fight whilst giving all 5 of them an arena AOE? that can DELAY/STEAL your turn?*

Yeah, this reviving mechanic that bosses have after the final boss from the prequel is starting to get old. And I have a feeling that this shit is gonna get worse later on.

The ONLY thing the game does to "address" the issue is telling you that it can happen. That doesn't fix the issue. Sure, you have tools that could counter it, but when RNG is involved there's only so much you can do. No matter how you go about it you can't counter 7 enemy turns out of thin air.

What is with Trails in the Sky's first major boss fight being a incompetent design flaws that clearly didn't even get play tested? The 2nd Chapter inhertied the first game's issue, but somehow made it even worse. Is it really that hard to design a turn timeline that DOESN'T fucking lie?*

So far I'm enjoying Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, but man does the beginning have way too many cutscenes. It give you a break for a bit, but then after that it's right back to a string of cutscenes.

And that's Xenoblade 2 S2E done! About 224 hours. That's half of my very first playthrough from nearly a decade ago. I'll say it again: I love this game so much. While we may not get a DE any time soon, I hope we get to see something planned for its 10th Anniversary next year.

I'm almost done with Xenoblade 2 S2E. Just a few more outfits and the rematch with Elma properly, then I put this game down again until the next revisit. While the new editions fixes the most glaring flaws, I feel like it could have done more.

That aside, I'm inching closer to 100% Xenoblade 2 S2E, but I'm making one small change to the completion. I'm not S+10'ing every Rare Blade. Trails Chapter 2 is coming and I don't want to waste time just farming Love Resources. So I'm only maxing out my favorites and ones that I will be using.
