I lost total respect for the US when I found out they were torturing and raping kids with broomsticks and dogs at Bagram and seeing the reaction from everyday USians that defended it because it was “necessary” for their “national security.” Trump being President was inevitable.

This is why it is absolutely required for the US to become a signatory of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) before anyone anywhere in the world can even begin to entertain the idea of trusting that country again.
