This is just added confirmation I did the right thing writing my own overlay system to replace both Stream Elements and Streamlabs when I did, so happy to not be reliant on anything other than a script I run on my system when I go live :3

Wild Arms 3 has the ECN gauge, when you get a random encounter an exclamation mark pops up over your head and you can skip the encounter by spending points from the gauge. If you're over levelled, or have boosted your Migrant Level by finding secret seals, the mark is green and it's free to skip!
What's your favorite underrated, underutilized, or otherwise rarely seen mechanic in JRPGs? for me it's the grimoire stones in Etrian Odyssey Untold 2, which let you basically give any character any skill including some enemy skills, and let you level up skills past their base maximum temporarily
