I recently posted a favorite portrait of Liz - she also required that if I was going to shoot portraits of her, she would also shoot portraits of me with the Mamiya 645, in the same light and settings, same "rules" (minimal makeup no retouch)

"Who's shooting who?"

Another photo shoot from a few years ago with my redhead. Men's shirts are the best outfit for a boudoir session.

This photo shows a woman sitting cross-legged on a bed covered in white linens, posing against a dark brown, tufted or padded headboard. Key details in the image include: Subject & Pose: She has medium-length reddish-brown hair with side-swept bangs and is smiling toward the camera. She has one arm raised above her head resting near the top frame, while holding a black DSLR camera with a lens attached in her right hand. Attire: She is wearing a bright blue, oversized button-down shirt that is left partially unbuttoned. Setting: She is seated on white bedsheets with soft white pillows visible on either side. The lighting is soft and warm, casting a gentle glow on the scene.

This is one of my favorite portraits of Liz. She would only agree to sit for portraits if she used minimal everyday makeup and I did not remove any blemishes wrinkles etc. This was taken with my Mamiya 645 and a Sekor 150 f2.8 lens. This is a >>>

"White Lace and Attitude"

Model: Lexi

#ButroModel #Portrait #Nikon #offcamerflash #CharlestonSC
Subject: A woman with long, wavy blonde hair posed dynamically in profile. She leans back with one hand resting flat against a structural post and one foot raised against it. Attire & Accessories: She wears a fitted white lace dress featuring thin floral straps, a corset-style bustier, and an asymmetrical ruffled hemline. She pairs it with clear-strap high-heeled mules, star-drop earrings, and layered gold necklaces. Visible tattoos adorn her arm and forearm. Setting: An outdoor or semi-enclosed hallway framed by dark reflective glass panels on the left and exposed brick with structural beams on the right. The floor consists of large grey stone tiles leading down a long corridor.

We need Dan Rather in our main stream media again. He was not a coward in his reporting.

So Liz bought this lovely dressing gown and I thought, why not make an artsy image with it? I usually just shoot straight up without a lot of thought to making "art" but we are both happy with this shot, illuminated primarily by moonlight.

"Black Dress and a Whole Lot of Mystery"

Model: Gucci

Those eyes could reach deep into a man's soul.

#ButroModel #Portrait #Nikon #offcamerflash #CharlestonSC #alley
The photograph features a portrait of a woman sitting on a bistro-style wooden chair with a woven red-and-white checkered backrest. She is turned backward in the chair, resting her head gently on her right hand while looking directly into the camera with a relaxed yet striking expression. Subject Details: She is wearing a sleeveless black keyhole halter top or dress. Her hair is styled in a high bun with face-framing bangs and loose tendrils. Her makeup includes defined eyes and a deep rose lip color. Background & Lighting: The background consists of a rustic, textured brick wall painted with white and distressed finishes. Soft foreground blur (a blurred green plant in the lower right and a tabletop in the foreground) adds depth to the composition.
