As nice as it is to not have to watch Ozuna anymore, Ronny Simon is truly talentless. In all my years of watching this lousy baseball team I’ve rarely seen more of an empty jersey than 2025 Ronny Simon.
We have also activated RHP Chris Devenski from the 60-day Injured List and outrighted him to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Anyone who can search the web should be able to realize that every institution with a faculty union creates better conditions for faculty, and by extension, better conditions for their students. Compare the before union & after union contracts yourselves - it couldn’t be clearer.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from 26 years in higher ed, it’s that having faculty governance and tenure is basically having a fake union. They are exploitable systems based on squishy policies that favor the admin, rather than legally-binding rules that represent the many & favor the workers.
The rhetoric of anti-union admins notwithstanding, the best way to strengthen faculty governance is to unionize your workplace. A bunch of my Academic Senate-veteran colleagues wrote about exactly this:

My two-cents: It feels like the new PG owners are going to hire 40-50 of the people least likely to have issue with whatever bullshit management feels like pulling and then figure it out from there.
