Sthng that maybe I could get better at is teaching folks new to game design that making detailed plans or game design docs at the beginning of the process, or really anything that is more than a page is really just a waste of time. Broad strokes are fine bc no one reads and early changes are fast

This really is the fundamental toxicity of this technology that just can't ever be escaped; even if it wasn't the object of economically destructive hype, even if it wasn't being overdeployed in environmentally harmful ways, etc, it's like asbestos for the brain

even if ai could perfectly sort through information with zero errors and deliver instant results it would not be worth the environmental cost. even if ai had no environmental cost it would not be worth its every output being unfixably error-prone. imagine if it was both with no upside lol

neat, i may have to cancel my donations to the internet archive because they too, uncritically posted some weird AI boosting shit. i hope everyone who is super into zero company gives our game a chance. seeing everyone talk about zero company's combat gives me a lot of confidence in our combat system too (us and the zero company team really seem to have been on similar wavelengths :3)

far too often, writers in games have waaaaaaaay less say in what a game's story ends up being than you probably think they do. it would probably shock the average person how often that amount is "next to nothing, aside from a couple cool small bits they were able to sneak in or fight for"
