NEW: GOP Gov nominee Victor Marx has been fined $57,647 for campaign finance violations, the largest such fine in state history.

A hearing officer ruled that the Marx campaign intentionally took illegal contributions, writing: "the scale of the violations are without precedent."

Wow.
New Fox poll of Texas has Talarico +7 with registered voters and +2 with likely voters. This is striking:

*He's winning half of working class
*In mid-60s w/Latinos
*Winning 22% of non-MAGA Rs (!)

The kicker: Non-MAGA Rs *disapprove* of Trump

New piece from me:

They were freaking out on Fox News Friday morning over a new Texas poll. A look at the internals shows they had every reason to.

There is an argument to be made that to win Talarico may not even have to get most of them to vote for him. He just needs them to not vote in general.

If this were Cornyn as the nominee, I would expect Talarico to be regularly trailing by 3-6 points.
Adviser to Talarico campaign points out that non-MAGA Rs are exactly the sort of voters who would have backed John Cornyn and might be reluctant to support the corrupt adulterer that Trump ordered them to support.

That may explain why Talarico is winning 1/5 of them

It's as if he is TRYING to lose the midterms.
With historically low approval ratings, it would be wise to avoid the press altogether.
Instead, he gives TIME magazine this bonkers, unhinged & l-e-n-g-t-h-y stream-of consciousness interview, pathologically lying throughout. shorturl.at/PMvVB

It’s not just the 7. Or the 57. It’s the whole system.
The law isn’t helping. New York’s voluntary intoxication loophole makes it nearly impossible for survivors to seek justice if they drank or used substances prior to an assault. Because of this loophole, Jane Doe’s assailants may never be held accountable under the law.

They're holding up a major escalation in Iran and a crackdown on abortion until after the midterms to limit political damage.

To the extent that the last two years have been a right-wing smash-and-grab operation, the next two will be worse.
