It costs atleast $400 per square foot to build a home in Connecticut. Doesnt matter if its a single family home or an apartment in a multi unit building. The only way to get brand new affordable housung is if the government funds a big chunk of that.

And in Connecticut
At a bare minimum, you should be able to build this, by-right, anywhere in Massachusetts with water and sewer access.

There needs to be 1 rule for the ncaa tournament, aka march madness, no team with a losing conference record can be in the tournament unless they win the conference tournament

Jim Mora thoughts. He was absolutely the coach UConn needed and he accomplished everything we could've asked for. But I dont think he was truly invested here. It was just a job and he gave the job his best. But he never particularly liked the job. It was a useful job at the time but not a career.

Ned Lamont talks a good game on Housing reality he gets a D. On Climate change again all talk reality he gets an F. He loves UConn when the sports teams win but UConn and higher ed another big fat F. Knows we need to grow and create vibrant cities but actual policy a D. And a D for public transit.

UConn should be 11-0 and all of us loudly arguing about why UConn is undefeated and still has 5 G5 teams ranked above them in the playoff rankings.

Any Democrat who votes for this horrible "compromise" to reopen the government should be immediately expelled from the Democratic party.
November 9, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Ned Lamont needs to drop out of the governors race and he should resign. He's not up for the moment on any of our biggest issues. Housing, Climate, Transportation or the republican parties total descent into fascism.

This team could've been 7-0, probably should've been 7-0. Just win out and be 10-2.

Atleast UConn doesn't have the worst loss of the weekend anymore.

The way to reduce crime isn't mass incarceration, it isn't more crimes getting the death penalty. It's ending poverty, ending homelessness, treat addiction and mental illness. Universal Basic Income, build more homes of all kinds, including rooming houses, supportive housing, invest in healthcare

Every town in The State of Connecticut should be required to plan for a 25% population increase by 2050. So 1% a year. Our cities and inner ring suburbs should be planning for a minimum of 50%.

Here’s the story. The WNBA are criminals. Fuck this shit.
“A source close to the ownership group says the tribe is frustrated and feels the league is presenting a one-path option: relocation of the team to a market of their choosing at a value of their choosing.”

But no money to pay the players www.espn.com/wnba/story/_...
Sources: Sun eye options to salvage record sale
Connecticut Sun ownership intends to present multiple options to the WNBA as it looks to salvage what would have been a record-breaking $325 million franchise sale, sources told ESPN.

Today’s news about the Connecticut Sun is just further proof the WNBA is engaging in antitrust behavior. The league should be taken to court and made to eat shit. Fuck them.

Ned Lamont is the worst Democratic Governor on climate change in the country. F on Housing, F on Mass Transit, D on Highway Expansion, F on Renewable Energy. Talks a good game and then wimps out to appease the far right and the ignorant conspiracy theory believing anti science crowd.

Suggesting this in Connecticut will get you tarred and feathered, but the money we could save if we didn't have a 169 petty feifdoms.
in most parts of the country, the lowest level of government administration should be the county. town and city government made sense in an era where it would take hours to walk from one side of the county to another, but not in an era where you can drive the distance of the county in 30 minutes
The US is unusual in believing that nonsensical boundaries, like those of the City of Los Angeles, are as permanent as mountains.

Britain revises the boundaries of 1000-year old shires whenever they stop making sense.

Assuming your correct and deficits matter(that's a different discussion), but for this we'll say they matter. It still says alot about you that war and tax breaks for rich, oil companies etc, are more important to you than food and Healthcare for the people.
