Friend drug me in. I was a pretty heavy FF fan who had bounced off like 6 mmos beforehand.
Said friend told me leveling bard was a prerequisite for Machinist and bought me a story skip to HW after finishing 2.0 because, Quote, "nothing important happens between Ultima Weapon and ISHGARD."
Liar.

How did you get into the game? Did a friend or family member badger you? Did you stumble across it on your own?

Zyx💚 broke a job stone to make sure he's deader than dead.
Killed in a way that Rejects his final question.
Objectively made her lock in as the WoL but loathes everything about him.
Wholly believes the universe would be better if he stayed dead in StB.
Halmarut lost friendship points already.

What is your WoL’s opinion of Zenos? Do they see him as a kindred spirit or a weirdo?

40+ runs of Syrcus Tower to get the full Scylla set for BLU only to find out after the fact you CAN'T DYE IT
#wolqotd Players: what was your biggest commitment in terms of ingame activity only for a single piece of glam or qpose?
In my case I think that will be resistance relic to get Law's Order Rapier for my RDM.

So holy shit today's Fanfest was a lot.
I'm INCREDIBLY cautious about the Evolved kits.
DRG looks incredibly rad.
BRD feels like the SMN rework but also it sucks me silly.
PLD and WHM though looks wonky and that makes me very afraid all supports might have a very rough transition to the new system.

She was ecstatic to have Zyx as a fem lala pal to gossip with in 2.0.
When Krile returned to the scions the three of them founded a tea group to deepen their friendship.
Lady Liliru is an open invitation member.
Berrymelon's a rare visitor, lamenting she doesn't meet Beruru til post disbandment.

Its insane the waves of revelation that hit me when Krile, who had become similar to Zyx in more ways than I intended when writing her, got revealed to be not of the Source.
Instantly locked in Soul Sisters and every major moment of her is written with both of them for me now.

Meta question here, in the process of writing your WOL/OC, have you ever seen a new piece of lore drop and feel like you hit the jackpot in writing material?

In the Ul'dahn AU for Zyx, she really deviates out of canon by gorging on one of Nidhogg's eyes so they can't be used to summon Shinryu and GLADLY uses the dreadwyrm's power boost to statcheck 4.0.
Don't quite know what happens with her post 4.0 though for balancing.

I especially feel like it's hard to really land the cool and intimidating energy of a serious WoL using a Lala and I REALLY think I let them aura farm with this one.

Zenos at the Reach.
Broke Zyx and hit fast forward on her arc.
She starts to claw out of her anxiety of TRULY frontlining that she's had from childhood via Fray-induced "therapy."
Gets gifted her father's jobstone, ushered into the ranks of RDM. Her birthright in hand, and homeland before her. 1/2

i don't usually do these, but i want to do a little thought exercise.
what the most pathetic thing your oc has ever done? or, what happened to them to make them feel absolutely pitiful? just the absolute scum fuck lowest they've ever felt, and how that coalesced.
get to the guts of it.

Quatelle Lutinbete,a runaway high-house Ishgardian woman who REALLY couldn't cope with the 3.X storyline and fled. She is now living a brute-forced Sekiseigumi life through flexing her old titles trying to help make Kugane a better place from the inside. Big dork!

For the main Amorzea canon? Two answers
💙Quatrelle's existence. Giving Haurchefant an arranged fiancee to both expand his character a bit and pull the romantic inclinations of some of his adoration away.
And having Pagaga return and be a core NPC for Garlemald post 6.0.

hey #wolqotd, i wanna know: what's the biggest change you've made to MSQ canon for your WoL/OC's story? i'm talking character deaths negated (or added), fights skipped, relationships/companions swapped, the works! tell me how you've made the story your playground!

Interjected herself in 6.0 trying to get revenge on Zyx... during In From The Cold.
Became a pillar of Garlemald's restoration.
And on her first return to Ala Mhigo, at Zyx's side to show off her efforts in particular, ended up being the person who first saw Zyx use Maestro... in a duel.

#wolqotd among the minor/supporting cast, who’s your wol’s bestie? i don’t mean scions, i don’t mean extremely plot-relevant NPCs; i’m talking one-off characters that are like job quest buddies (minus DRK, that’s low hanging fruit) and side characters even in the patches that heavily feature them

Zyx's hair took an AGGRESSIVE shift from her natural lime green (like her mother) to the darker green with blue highlights like her Ancient had.
She dealt with the excess by merging a large amount of it into Eos and Selene fusing into a permanent Seraph, who serves as Titania's ward post 5.3.

How did absorbing light-aspected aether from the Sin Eaters affect your WOL/OC during the events of Shadowbringers? Does the effect of light poisoning still linger currently?

For those whose OCs are primarily Non WoL, how do you handle the existence of the MSQ? Do you have a separate WoL? Does your lil guy get to play pretend before resuming their regular life? Or do you just ignore it?
