This is alarming. Even if we win (just) enough seats to take control, the republicans could use a tactic where they decide not to swear in democrats and to continue to maintain control of congress. More than anything this is why it’s so important we have a blue TSUNAMI wave for the midterms.

Maybe we need to give the lowest white man in America something other than high gas prices, high food costs, high healthcare costs, so that he can discover pride in himself and something to aspire to other than hatred. Trump isn’t going to be here forever.

While this may be true, Trump will not be here forever. Somehow, someone needs to come up with a method for reaching out to his base and to meet some of their needs and desires. Otherwise, we will resign ourselves to this as a long-term crisis.
