Inevitably there's criticism that the new documentary Naza focusses on Israeli perpetrators and not Palestinian victims.
To argue that the destruction of Gaza amounts to genocide, you need to prove special intent.
To prove intent, you need to enter the Israeli psyche, you need Israeli testimonials.

Jewish sovereignty, as it was codified in the Israeli Knesset (2018), is a political system based on exclusion and discrimination. This deep exclusion and discrimination is reflected in government policies, budgets, policing, land policies, etc.
No one who believes in democracy should endorse it.

Shielding Israel's Kahanist government and its project of ethnic cleansing, against the clear sentiment of British public opinion? How disconnected from reality you have to be to think this is a good idea?

In both cases, it's the same playbook - we're the "good guys," they're uncivilized brutes, attacking the credibility of the messengers (in both cases, the "New York Times"!) And a studied refusal to admit that sexual violence is unfortunately common in conflict zones, and no community is above it.

That's why saving UNRWA's archives was so important.

There is no available mechanism for removing the Mad King because our political system is failing.

Our system is wildly outdated. Few countries have:

- two-party system
- presidency elected separately from the legislature
- strong, extremely unrepresentative upper chamber
- politicized high court

This 💯. Sure, they're not gonna do it. You know why? Because they face from anyone to do it.

Stop letting them appear anywhere in public without nonstop pressure to do it. No more free passes:

I hate the too-cool-for-school attitude of dismissing this with a "but they won't." That is surrendering in advance. The pressure should be put on them, the message should be unrelenting that this is what must be done and they're the ones refusing to do it. Don't act like they don't have agency.
If only a dozen Republicans in Congress found the will, they could impeach and remove him today.

Because, in my opinion, the greatest dilemma public colleges across the country face is that they NEVER receive enough state or federal funding. So they are forced to submit grant applications to the country’s philanthropic organizations to fit an ever-growing gap. THIS IS THE ENTIRE PROBLEM.
