I wrote another little reflection on the importance of good cinema for my region's weekly mini-blog. And thought I was a struggle to keep it as small as it needed to be, I'm still very pleased with it, and stand by it as an important dream for the Church!

By definition, AI ensures that our knowledge and communication will be "decided somewhere else by those we don't know"
Mark Carney announces investment in AI firm Cohere: "Canada is taking a major step forward in artificial intelligence. We are not waiting for the future of AI to be decided somewhere else by those we don't know or by whom we don't trust."

Okay, which jackass decided to spell "subtle" that way!? I am taking it as a personal attack, and I will be seeking emotional compensation. I bet it was the same 'comedian' who pranked us all with "Wednesday." Probably out there just laughing at us in their grave...

You know, its very whimsical that in the NRSV translation, they use the word "booty" at least once (Num. 14:3). The life of piracy calls to everyone wether they realize it or not, even biblical translators

Its been a week since, but I still am in shock that the costco in Waterloo (one of Canada's most notorious University-towns) did not have any sign of the big boxes of Ramen noodles... Surly they would have overstocked that for the start of the school year?? And if not here then where!?!

Say that your main crop is the forest
that you did not plant,
that you will not live to harvest.
Say that the leaves are harvested
when they have rotted into the mold.
Call that profit. Prophesy such returns.

A non-zero percentage of the religion problems of our day is that both the religious and the formerly-religious have never developed a mature understanding of the faith and base all their opinions on what they learned in 3rd grade Sunday school
“Hi. Former K12 student here, where they made me take science EVERY YEAR of school. Let me tell you what my 7th grade physics teacher told me about electrons, this DEFINITELY makes me an authoritative source on particle physics.”

Its a good morning to say "goodbye Calgary." You have been kind to me, and I wish circumstances could have been different and that I could have stayed longer. But here's to new beginnings, and getting lost in somewhere in a new place!

Three posts in 24hrs about the party's plan to build up Canada's sustainable energy sector... Seems like somebody's social media team is trying to over-compensate for Carney's upcoming trip to Alberta to continue unbelievably pointless investments in oil and gas.
With our new National Electricity Strategy, we will power Canada strong with clean, affordable, reliable energy.

Honestly, I think the comeback of signet rings and snail-mail would go hand-in-hand.

Screw email or texting! All my homies gonna start sending mail with our unique seals on them. This is a cultural practice worth resuscitating!
Is it weird that I have a deep desire to have like a custom made signet ring. Like I want to be able to seal letters with my own seal. That would be so cool
