AAPI individuals reported high rates of #racism which was related to greater racism-related negative affect (NA) & worse #alcohol outcomes. This is 1st known test of racism‐related NA on alcohol use among AAPI adults, critical given the high rates of racism experienced. @lsuresearch.bsky.social

Exciting to see this paper has been published! 1st authored by grad student, Katie Thomas, we found that the indirect effect of #PTSD symptoms on heavy #drinking occurred via #relationship impairment & this effect was moderated by sex, occurring for #women, not men. Link👇@lsupsychology.bsky.social
