This day was my first plunge into really sitting down just drawing boxes. It was a really sobering reminder that I can visualize all the monsters and creatures, but not understanding the physiognomy or depth they take up stunted me.

I found that part of my struggle in dissecting a composition was separating it into basic shapes and ideas. The goal for this day was to find primitive shapes and scenes to simplify into absolute two-tone values, then gradually add later on.
