Awesome. Let’s see how that works out for you.

Here’s the process: take your trust fund and fuck off. I hope the people you’ve hurt take it off and you actually have to work a job instead of pretending to. Do not pass Go. Do not collect anything other than your belongings if you’re booked.
NEW: In extraordinary claim, Maine Democratic Party accuses the embattled Graham Platner of meddling in the process of replacing him.

Platner's campaign fires back, saying he's merely trying to "understand what this process would look like" if he quits.

Maine Democratic Party accuses Graham Platner of meddling in the process to replace him
The Platner campaign insisted it was not trying to unduly influence the party, saying it was simply trying “to understand what this process would look like” as he weighs his next steps.

little to add to Platner discourse that others haven't said better. so i'll just say once again that the era of consequence free politics is no good and it is important to bring back shame

Really feel like I earned pointing out that I called my shot with Platner the day his announcement video dropped
In my experience there's almost an inverse correlation between the quality of a candidate announcement video and the quality of the candidate.

If you listen to Dayden then or think he has any understanding of the party or any insight then you’re an absolute fool.
As @ddayen.bsky.social said on the other place, every day they drag this out is one less day to have some sort of speedy public primary/caucus
Platner now in a pissing match with the Maine Democratic Party:

In order to interact, you need to follow him or he follows you. Otherwise
you can't respond. It's not entirely closed or "tuned off".

Every day Tom has the same act and it’s extremely boring. Also, Ronald Reagan was a dolt.

Quote posting small accounts when you close replies is still the coward’s play.
Every day, someone learns how Bluesky works
Also, if you’re going to quote post people and then close replies that’s kind of a punk move.

Again, your replies are closed. That’s pretty weak.

Ted Kennedy did more for the rights of American women than Mitt has ever done. You want to talk about guys back in the day who drank and screwed around? Go for it. There’s plenty of dirty laundry to go around.
Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy as champions of women's rights was a reason I was never able to seriously consider being a Democrat, even after working for, and voting for, various Democrats.
Yes, the women of Massachusetts would have been glad to give up their bodily autonomy to a man who had a different view of abortion rights depend on what he was running for and where. A true man of principle. Just deal with the fact that Ted stomped him. It’s been 30 fucking years.

Yes, and Massachusetts would have been better for it.
Thank God they did. Was I supposed to vote for Mitt?

Spare me the “we knew it all along” bullshit. I grew up in a state that was happy to keep reelecting Ted Kennedy over and over after 1969.

You’re confusing math with perception.
Ha! The reason I hate ever to admit to gut feelings about something like politics is that I have been in too many casinos and watched too many people do stupid shit because they had a "gut feeling" that hitting a 16 against a 4 was a good idea. But yes, intuition matters in politics.
Your gut deciphers threats without your awareness quite often. We are primates.
Your brain often plots to talk you out if it. Your gut is usually correct.
