Kitten update: we're slowly making friends.
There are six babies, three black, two tabby, and one black and white. Momma is continuing to return to check on them, but keeping her distance from us. We've placed kitten food and water out for them as well. ❤️😻💙

We're fortunate enough to have a bonded male & female Oriole couple regularly visiting our feeder. The pair have a nest high up in one of the oak trees on the property. If you watch the video to the end, you'll see momma checking in on the nest, where we assume little Orioles are waiting to be fed.

The lawn crew emerged from their winter slumber in the barn to give their first existing conditions report of the season. Upon determining things haven't greened up to their liking, they decided to play a few rounds of king of the mountain before retiring back to the barn for the evening. #GoatLife

What a cold morning across Northern Ohio! However, all of the tree limbs were covered in a thick layer of hoarfrost, which made for a pleasant surprise. If you zoom in on the picture below, you can see the beautiful bright white "ice fuzz" as I like to call it, covering all the tree branches.

On a side note: if any of our neighbors saw me running through your yard while it was dumping buckets, it wasn't for additional photos. Charlie, our little 13+ year old dog, who's also deaf, escaped just before the storm hit and I was after him. Yes, he's back home safe, sound, and soaked. As am I.
