The key to my social media success is that no matter where I post (X, Meta, Peach, a napkin left at a table at Pete’s Coffee, etc.) is they all get equal levels of disinterest
The wise Daredevil asks "what are the laws of crime fighting?" The wicked Daredevil asks "what does crime fighting mean to you?"
The simple Daredevil asks "what does crime fighting mean?"
The Daredevil who does not know how to ask because he has no word balloons.
The cover of Daredevil #1 asks, "Can you guess why Daredevil is different from all other crime-fighters...?" and a lifetime of seders lead me to assume based on that phrasing that while all other crime-fighters dip only once, Daredevil dips twice.

AmEx not only is farming annual fees but it is also a company that screws over merchants the most with the transactions fees it charges them, even compared to other credit card companies
so my mom pointed out to me: amex knows what I make. and they're still trying to sell me the platinum card, which they know is outside my income bracket. that says something about consumer credit // status symbols, and it's not good
Also, Amex is trying to sell me the platinum card again, which, lol

When I worked in government helmet laws had a lot of problems being put in place partially because there was a dedicated group of single issue voters against it who were willing to flip parties over that one issue
Boy, I think it's a bad idea to get mad at the Mayor for demonstrating good behavior. This reads like a cartoon of an annoying urbanist. Nobody's going to be persuaded by it who doesn't already agree and some people will get pushed away because of how obnoxious it is. Useless!
Mayor Mamdani's focus on a helmet paints deadly crashes as the failure of vulnerable road users to protect themselves, rather than as the failure of government to stop completely avoidable carnage. buff.ly/0HIM3RQ

The dirty secret of the American stock market for generations was that for a lot, and I mean a lot, of day traders and regular guy traders, it was just gambling but legal and socially accepted in a way that going to your local bookie was not

10+ yrs ago my job required I drive to work due to the nature of it, so they covered employee parking at our office building; 2 wks in they ended covering it but we still had to drive every day and just figure it out; guess how motivation in the office went after that; place was bk/gone in 5 years
everyone is correct here and also everyone is kinda rude: that question is not worth Zuck's time, but it's absolutely worth *somebody's* time, and Diet Peach Snapple in the micro kitchen is almost certainly the cheapest way to buy employee satisfaction for the guy who asks this question

Everything I learn about this movie makes me come to be more confused and have a lower expectations at quality of the filmmaker’s work; by the time I see it I probably will love it since my expectations will be between a snuff film and The Day The Clown Cried
‘ONE NIGHT ONLY’ director Will Gluck says they cut out “so much nudity” from the film because he thinks audiences dislike sex on screen.

“Whenever people now see nudity or very adult situations in a big theater, they get uncomfortable.”

Based on talking to people during canvassing over the years, a lot of people have no idea who is running for anything until they look at the ballot
Truly wonder if people who vote for candidates who are no longer running in competitive races are doing it as some sort of protest vote or truly are so tuned out they don't know the candidate they voted for dropped out.

The new Air Bud trailer is out and I need to once again address the issue of him playing. 🧵
Maybe I am proven wrong and the movie will deal with this but I have to again note there almost certainly is a rule, if not many rules against a dog playing in that league. (1/x)

What it must feel like to argue with someone who thought Minority Report was a movie about a utopia that Tom Cruise ruined
…I spent several days on here arguing with someone who insisted that “the law” was just a series of programmable rules to be followed and as such AI was going to kill the legal profession, which…no.

A lot of people on Bluesky seem to not understand the difference of a difficult job market like entertainment or academics and literally being legally banned from working where you want even if your employer and you want you to work there like in sports league that uses drafts
