Ohfuck it just occurred to me that we're almost definitely getting at least one new Old Gods of Asgard song next week.

Fun fact: OSHA are weak of body and spirit and have no authority over the Z-Axis.
Gain the high ground and the cowards cannot demand anything of you.

Does anyone else ever think about the fact that there's precisely no reason news programmes HAVE to use those dramatic fanfare-y stings? There are other ways to get attention!

Peart-esque drum solos. Jaunty tunes. A glitched-up Amen Break. Quick saxophone solo. The possibilities are endless.

I think I've raged about this before but I was just reminded of the subject.

Developers: If your game does not have fully customisable button rebinding in 2026 - no matter the input method - your game is not yet feature complete or suitable for release.

Do better.

The phrase 'I'll die on this hill' is defeatist and lacking spirit.

Show conviction. Stand up for yourself. Kill everybody else on the hill instead. Make the hill bigger. Pose like Doomguy upon a ziggurat of fallen enemies at the crest, with a banner proclaiming your weirdness.

I believe in you.

Just had the realisation that allegations and alligators don't stem from the same root and now I feel kind of like it's ruined my day.

I've never thought of this before.

After giving it another shot after a couple of years and spending a bunch more hours with it, I can confidently say that Steelrising is definitely one of the soulslike games ever made.

I mean it's by no means a bad game. I think I just don't like the lack of either fluidity or commitment in combat.

I'm going to go back in time and start kidnapping authors to make the most whimsical chimaera imaginable.

C.S. Lewiscarrollkien shall be fiction no more.

I have an inherent distrust of squirrels that walk normally without doing the hoppy slithery-but-vertical movement.

Clearly some kind of shape-changing mage who paid no attention to their supposed disguise's mannerisms.

I'm still trying to figure out why my MIDI controller outputs note data on every pot, every slider tick and every movement of either pitch or mod wheels when using USB MIDI via DIN port.

Unfortunately the USB port is wrecked to the point the port fell into the body so that's not an option.

So I've been playing Darktide again recently and my friend is convinced the next class will very possibly be either a Sister of Battle, an Eldar Ranger or an angry Squat.

I cannot lose.

Declaring in a room full of white tshirt obsessed bassists that the entirety of metalcore is, was and forever will just be caffeine free diet melodeath, just to feel something.

I'm no expert on Catholicism but I feel like the pope should make the Shure SM58 a saint.

I've just had the greatest idea that's crossed my mind for a LONG time but I'm not sure how to achieve it.

Googly eye contacts.

The great thing about my creative endeavours is that nobody will ever accuse me of using AI because I'm fairly certain that soulless slop machines kick out finished tracks.

Me: Okay, there's been a thunderstorm, the heatwave should be over now.
(New health bar appears)
(The sun is now named 'Sol, Starflame of Regret')
(Objectively the greatest piece of classical music ever recorded starts playing).

We need to have a serious discussion about renegotiating the rights and oxygen privileges of people who hold clip-on mics when doing pieces to camera.

I just need to remind the world that Belmont's Revenge had a catastrophically-underrated soundtrack.

That is all.
