I was against it so much at the time. We lost so many small manufacturing companies. I found it ironic that Mulroney sat on a US board shortly after exiting office. He also killed FIRA and Canadian ownership requirements for buyouts.

It probably should take into account how many home-grown refugees (homeless) we have and whether we even have capacity for asylum seekers.

I watched his trip to Algonquin and Peterborough last year. You really gotta have nerves of steel when not on a trail.

Is this an advertorial? Youth unemployment is the only metric that should be used? What about the 147,000 "students" that were identified as being fraudulent. There is no need for a company like Applyboard currently.

Sodium ION batteries are soon being used in a Chinese EV. They suffer no real loss in the cold.

It is not America it is the plural Americas. North America, Central America, & South America.

The gas engine comes on when it is very cold. The 52 miles become 40 miles once the battery is warmed up.

Many Canadians do not have supplemental health benefits as mentioned. I am in agreement that the infrastructure is not there. Time for a pause until the system is able to support current needs. Not fair to complain and criticize "free" services and infrastructure you never contributed to.

With the usage of sodium ion batteries now a reality is keeping an expensive investment in this plant smart. I think it could be an albatross.

If it was to come to fruition please do not include Sylvain Charlebois in any capacity.

Bring back FIRA.

Canadians lost 1 soldier to an A10 Warthog strafing incident and 4 soldiers due to a laser guided bomb dropped upon them in Afghanistan. Sorry allied lives were lost for their ungrateful American "friends".

My dad was in the RAF during WW2 at an airbase fairly close to the front late in the war. He never forgot when the American soldiers decided to retreat suddenly and left his Squadron vulnerable to attack by the Germans. He told me to never trust the loyalty of Americans. And here we are ...

Keir Starmer kind of did the same thing when he didn't push back against the 51st state bullshit. How many Canadians died in France, Holland, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong supporting Great Britain?
January 24, 2026 at 1:34 AM
Why? We don't make EV's in Ontario.
January 8, 2026 at 10:47 PM
Yikes technically Conservative not PC.
January 7, 2026 at 4:16 PM
So stupid in their blind Liberal brand that my riding (Kitchener Center) lost a great MP because they split the vote and had a non resident PC take it instead.

BTW: Why no Mark Cuban Cost Plus in Canada?
December 25, 2025 at 6:01 AM
We have different levels of pharmacare across Canada. But we do have a working non American health care system that does a pretty good job in giving me healthcare when I need it at minimal cost to me (minimal tax add-on).

Scarborough has had a long term history of electing some real fools.
November 13, 2025 at 7:41 PM
I think we can thank Brian Mulroney for ending FIRA and ushering in free trade which resulted in the closing of so much of Canada's manufacturing and the ownership of so many Canadian businesses by countries of foreign origin.

BYD, MG, & Xiaomi. They all have some interesting models. It would be even better if one of them could start production in Canada. I won't be buying American again.

I don't doubt that, high schoolers brawling is as old as time but I don't there are summer school courses at KCI now.

I doubt it was high school students. Probably the unhoused at St. Mark's with a drug connection.
