I know more than a few lean R “independents” that have “concerns” about sports. So it’s def not a diehard GOP issue, it’s designed to snare these kinds of voters.
It’s actually been my top priority regarding personal relationships and politics as far as de ganging the issue.

They work well, but for how new my system is and how much oil I actually use I’ll wait until it’s free or my existing unit dies. Otherwise it’ll take me decades to pay it off and I have much more pressing needs.

FYI my highest August price ever was 3.80 in 2022 and I just paid 4.94 a few weeks ago.
I’m fortunate that my house is pretty well insulated and efficient so if it’s extra cold like last winter and I keep it over 70 I’ll use 400 gallons, but I can get it down to under 300 if needed.
