My top 20 albums released this past year. Some surprising finds for me this year, and I can't wait to spend January doing the same list for 2024 to see how much it changes.

Been listening to #StanleySimmons debut album 'Dancing While the World is Ending' since my vinyl came in.
It has a timeless vibe, thoughtful lyrics, and will be a contender for album of the year for me.
Banger tracks include Cellophane, Dystopia Boogie, and Starve the Beast.
10/2 digital release.

What a powerful new music Friday today. New @thestripedbananas.bsky.social EP was amazing, the new Marilyn Manson album might be his best since 'Holywood', and Ghostemane's new Single, called 'Zero Day', is a hard hitting nu metal track with a modern twist that was just so refreshing.

'Look Outside Your Window', the debut album from four members of Slipknot recorded back in the 'All Hope Is Gone' Era.
This is the first time this album has ever been released, and it's very interesting. Landing halfway between Stone Sour and soft Manson.
Banger tracks: Moth, In Reverse, Toad

Spending my day on my third listen of the new Lamb of God album.
Album. Heavy hitting, old school, and with Punk blood, this album is great so far.
Will write a full review once my vinyl comes in next week.

I waited some time to decide what all I wanted to say about this powerful album. It is as good as Cracker Island; It is as deliciously pretentious as Plastic Beach; it is as well composed as Demon Days.
Standout tracks include 'The Moon Cave' and the Bowie-esque 'Empty Dream Machine'.

Listening to None Inch Nails' 2013 return 'Hesitation Marks' this morning on the turntable.
Great hooks and vibes that take you somewhere between 'The Fragile' and 'Pretty Hate Machine's in style.
The album is as danceable in a way he hasn't tried since PHM.

Wanted to share something for the holiday and settled on this.
Billy Idol comes with an unexpected Classic style Christmas album full of cheer. If you're looking for something classic without going to the usual pool, this album can absolutely be put on in the background of any family gathering!

A fantastic rock n roll album that will unfortunately be missed by most fans by not being available on streaming.
From hard hitting romps like "Rock, Rockin', Rock & Roll" to spooky anthems like 'Creepy Crawlers', this album shines in its diversity and willingness to just rock.

One more album release on my radar for this year and that is Peter Criss's album set to come out December 19th I believe.
Pretty excited about it; he is a very talented musician and the eldest member of the original KISS. Those early album keep an air of maturity to the. Thanks in part to his drums

Not an album but wanted to share my thoughts on the end but single from Simmons Stanley.
Like Simon and Garfunkel if they had a 90s darker tone to it, their debut track 'Body Down' manages to stay away from what made KISS so big without leaving us with something uninteresting.

The Nova Twins present a heavy hitting industrial bad-bitch vibe with 'Parasites & Butterflies', their latest album.
With rich bass lines, amazing dissonance, and beautiful lyricism, this album jumped up my 2025 list.
Banger tracks: Monsters, Soprano, and Pirhana.

Nathan James - Hollywood Mortician
A stellar modern industrial album that takes its inspiration from Slipknot and the Nu metal craze in the early 2000s. Bringing that classic industrial sound, this debut album hits hard.
Banger tracks include Lost Angeles, The Hanged Man, Nails.

An elegant nostalgia album with good vibes and a great sense of what it wants to be. 'Lost Americana' presents a mix of youth anthems and mournful ballads that will have you crying by the end in MGK's return to innovation.

Now I'll run it through my comparison app and start getting them in order, although there are a few heavy hitting music still to come with Peter Criss, Ryan Caraveo, and Simmons Stanley.
