4 portraits featuring the seam, that last one I did doesn't really work for me so I haven't included it, I want to do another to prove I haven't lost it but I really cannot stand to take photos of myself at the moment

BF recently got us a new lens for my DSLR, allowing me to take more close-up/macro photos, so here are a few snaps of some yummy ceramic & wood textures 👀

In Skagen (Denmark) Peder Severin Krøyer focused on the landscape, local life, and community festivities. He was also captivated by the ‘blue hour’ and the effects of moonlight on Skagen beach or as here (1885) from the moors just north of the then village.

We report at nightfall, ahead of the cold front we are expecting in the morning: the wind is rising. The atmospheric pressure is still dropping. The stars are twinkling through the clouds; the humidity is creating halos around them. The few raindrops are flying in the breeze.

This is a beautiful little detail on the door of Glasgow University's Graham Kerr Building. Designed by J.J.Burnet and built in the 1920s, it was originally constructed as the Zoology Building.

We report: gorse and heather are in full bloom now, and the hills smell like honey. Also, because it rained so much in the previous week, we can make out some brand new autumn smells. They are an odd, but familiar mix of rotting wood, damp chalk, and crisp nights.

Reginald Brill had an indefatigable interest in the everyday lives of people, and they're often captured off-guard as in this work of an orange seller at Sudbury, Suffolk from around the mid-1950s.

Aurochs. Ran out of white (air drying) clay midway through but I like the way it turned out. 3¼ hours to make.
