Today I got battered at some split-screen DOOM up at an Evercade event in London Bridge.
Long live the classics.

The Burial of the Rats by Bram Stoker. It's almost like a DLC for Dracula, I do recommend!

For me, physical media is still my favourite.
Music, movies, games, books.
Right now im playing whack-a-mole with AI generated songs whenever I try to use YouTube music... I feel sorry for the real artists out there.
It's more valuable than ever to curate for myself.

Currently writing what's turned into an essay with my thoughts on the gaming market and I just wanted to share this term i've used that makes me chuckle.

Now watching: The Man with the Golden Arm.
I'm watching it on TV in The Darkness 2007!
I can't believe more games havent done this, its such a fun concept.
Quite a remarkable film that was controversial at release due to being one of, if not the first major films to explore addiction.

A great find in a local charity shop:
I spent this afternoon reading through a translation of Beowulf from Kevin Crossley Holland.
What can I say? it was amazing and a beautiful edition with art from Virgil Burnett.
Looks like a print from the 70's? It's kept very well in the Folio in that case!

I started out as an actor for screen!
Managed to land a role in a film about St Katherine of Alexandria in my late teens / early 20s. After many years of abject poverty and not many opportunities I found myself in games.
Still acting though! 3 games, another TBA and plan to return to film in time ❤️

Expedition 33 might just be the most beautiful game I've ever seen.
I've been a bit down and distant lately I think but this one has been really touching so far. Nice to feel I haven't hardened over too much.

Now that The Naked Gun is trending again I need you all to take a moment and see Leslie Nielsen looking like an absolute stud in the 1956 film "The Forbidden Planet"
