You know what really pisses me off? Trump has made billions off our backs and thinks $5K is life-changing money for all us peasants. And that he just has to promise it, but never deliver (DOGE checks, tariff refunds, healthcare), and that’s enough. I don’t think it’ll work too well this time.

I mean this very, very seriously: It is absolutely an option for us to ignore his idiotic Lake America stunt. We can do that. We can just tune it out like you would block out a child howling at you in the cereal aisle, recognizing that to do anything else would be to give the whiner what they want.

An incapacitated McConnell who is not voting was a boon for Dems. Another Senator proxy voting for him is not. I wonder if McConnell is “at home recovering” to try to give some legitimacy to the proxy vote. Schumer is useless. He should be demanding proof of life and mental ability to cast a vote.
