i don't know why companies don't hire as many trans women as possible when they'll all overwork themselves for twice the productivity of anyone else but you only have to pay them 60% as much. just seems like shrewd business!

The entire logic seems to be that &T is covariant and &mut T is invariant; and *const T corresponds to &T and *mut T corresponds to &mut T so they have the same variances.
But this leads to situations like Box<T> using *const T under the hood since it needs to be covariant

this is the best part of making friends because realizing you can be a certain kind of annoying around a new person and they don't want to shoot you with a gun hits better than any drug you could ever try
one of the worst and most terrifying pieces of information that ive learned is that in order to make friends you kind of have to be annoying to people. and if they like it thenn you can be friends. friendship is just when you both like when the other one is annoying
