If you're cis, you need to know this is a terrible time for trans people, regardless of whether you're in the US or not.
We can talk about institutions silencing us but the fact is we know that plenty of cis people in our lives know, because we told them. Some of them even acknowledged it. Cis people en masse are individually choosing to let us die.
It’s absolutely killing me. The complete and total apathy seeming to prevail amongst cis people. They’ve simply given up on us.

I finally got to reading Gaiman's response to the Vulture article; tepid take here but he didn't correctly identify what he was supposed to be responding to, and given the gravity of it, it's hard to see how that could be anything other than intentional obfuscation, right?

I sent the Dreams on a Pillow press release to pretty much all games media out there, but it was only the smaller websites that ran the story about a Palestinian dev risking his life to make a game about the start of apartheid, as that very same occupation tightens a noose around him. Discouraging.
