In the NT, relations between the CLP govt and First Nations communities are falling apart and they weren’t strong in the first place. The govt has ceased listening to experts & evidenced based advice. It’s an administration that is off the leash and only the federal govt can do something about it.

This is important wherever you live given the scale and lack of rules for datacentres proposed in the NT. And that the NT is undermining efforts in other states to stop them using fossil fuels.

It’s pretty hard to express how wild Territory Fireworks night is. Living amongst trees with hollows, dogs who are frightened by them and finding them pretty triggering myself this is a relief.
This stands out as an island of care in the dismal, violent and rapacious NT political landscape.
