I don't think Trump and his administration heard anything in any meaningful way, judging by this following post, but the general population seeing this could be...interesting in it's consequences considering he just poked the core of the US psyche.

Yeah, weirdly, objecting to the use of nuclear weapons on civilians does not require me to come up with an alternate strategy for the US to win WW2 like some armchair General.

I'm boycotting everything US I can (Visa is pretty unavoidable). And I want to reiterate that while what your government is doing is awful, the response to it (especially the incredible restraint from violence) is creative, clever and inspiring.

At no point did I say it was "worse". I said it wasn't a good idea.
As for why I think it's a slippery slope, this is a picture of UK Police performing a "terror arrest" and if you can't see the problem with it I really don't know what to say.

If I can offer some advice, people should collect pictures which show the ridiculousness of the situation very simply.
For example, when I need to quickly convey the situation with Palestine Action being a terror group in the UK I can just say:
