The only explanation for this is they must have had enough candidates in pool they were like "we really want these guys, but they've fuxxed a xxxxxx", and decided they wanted those people enough to change the rules to hire them.

They're so afraid of Talarico's message they'll censor television to keep people from listening to it.
It's shameful that the FCC is abusing its authority to prevent Americans from hearing directly from candidates during election season.

Interviews with political candidates are chilled thanks to the FCC, and news programs aren't immune from it.

Police are trained not to stand in front of vehicles. It's smart, keeps them alive, and they still manage to arrest people.

ICE are trained to stand in front of vehicles. It's dumb, and the main purpose we see is to set up the situation for lethal force escalation.
It’s only a matter of time before poorly trained ICE officers, who are forced to meet unreasonable, quotas for rounding up migrants, shoot and kill American citizens. Oh wait….

Example of why business leaders going into government have not been effective. Viewing Americans as customers the way businesses today treat customers explains it all. Customers are to be exploited for revenue to benefit shareholders.

The American people are the shareholders of government.

Capitalism, socialism, I don't care - they're labels for policy tendencies. What I care about is whether those policies are fair, consistent, and work for the people governed.

Right now our system isn't working. It's driven by greed and corruption. No wonder people want something else.

It's not even that I'm advocating for pure socialism. Part of liberty is your own right to step out and start a business if you want to - to shoot for success. You shouldn't attain it through exploitation. There's a lot to be said for a good idea, hard work, and a great product or service.

That American dream can't be for some of us. It has to be for all of us. That's how you pull a nation together. Not with hate, but belief that it's not just possible to live and prosper, but it's likely. Citizens have to live for more than just wage and healthcare enslavement to capitalism.

I got to believe we're going to find ourselves again. Our compassion. Our hope. Our love. Our sense of solidarity. You can't force solidarity with violence. You have to give people something to share and hold onto - a dream, a social contract, opportunity - an understanding of where we each fit.
March 26, 2026 at 6:11 AM
The saddest part of what's going on in America right now is it didn't have to be this way. There is plenty for everyone, but not enough for too many, and never enough for a few. The wealth of a nation squandered. All we got out of it is this dumb war, raising unemployment, collapsing social systems.
