The Canadian government plans on shutting down the only food allergy testing lab in all of eastern Canada by March, 2028. The CFIA Longueuil lab is a lifeline for 3 million Canadians who live with food allergies.

No one should have to die from eating lettuce. And yet that is where we have arrived in the USA.
Would it surpise you to know that despite a food safety crisis south of the border, Carney is still cutting the CFIA?

A recent MOU signed between Ottawa and Regina changes nothing for the future of the Indian Head and Scott research farms in SK. AAFC are still telling our members they will lose their jobs. The government is still turning its back on agricultural science that all Canadians depend on.
