I really like Prometheus, but I think one of its problems is that it makes all of human life revolve around the Alien mythology. I prefer the idea that the xenomorph wasnt particularly special…it was one monster in a vast, infinite dark full of monsters. Thats more interesting than the xeno itself.

The reality of it is that none of you losers want to make art. If you wanted to make art you'd shut up and go do it. What you want is attention and recognition and praise and frankly you'll have a better shot at it quitting your job to become a human pet.

It was one of the honors of my life when Ramon asked me to be part of this project. Still unreal to share a table of contents with such a murderer's row of brilliant artists and writers, and to know some of them as friends.

Another totally hypothetical niche curse would be having a 'preeminent expert' for an important SFF author publishing all their analytical work through the imprint of a famous white supremacist. Again, totally hypothetical!
If a warlock wanted to curse a genre he could perhaps 1) make every single written work within its confines feature a foreword by the same sex criminal or maybe 2) have the most lucrative entry be authored by a crazed bigot and hang on a minute
