Italian Response
On the same day, the Italian Air Force dispatched five Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 against British naval convoy BN.5 in the Red Sea
The British scrambled two Gloster Gladiators from No. 94 Squadron. The aircraft conducted an interception attempt south of Aden but failed to find the enemy

The raid was carried out between 01:30 and 06:35, with the primary target being the Italian Air Line hangar Ala Littoria. This information comes from RAF squadron operational logs held at the British National Archives.

Russian drones hit industrial warehouses. At least one person was killed, and humanitarian aid supplies, among other items, were caught in the fire.
Reuters later reported a total of nine people killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine that day.

Casualties
According to regional authorities' data presented on September 19:
Kharkiv Oblast: 5 killed and 15 wounded,
Sumy Oblast: 2 killed and 10 wounded,
Kherson: 2 killed and 5 wounded,
Donetsk: 1 killed and 13 wounded,

the Ukrainian Air Force reported that 138 drones were shot down, and some more were disrupted by electronic warfare, targets were attacked in 15 locations, and debris fell in another 9.

Two French Rafales attacked an ISIS compound near Mosul. According to the French, the target was destroyed. This was the first French airstrike against ISIS as part of this operation.

The incident remains known as the Tehran Dogfight Incident and remains the subject of disputes over the interpretation of the sighting to this day.
