A garden green does grow within your mind A greenhouse barren of your beauty's bloom For dirt and seed to grow you fail to find I know not what has left you in this gloom Is your own hand a gardener's fading grey Or has the ancient soil begun to rot You forced a change, yet only found dismay And left a barren patch where love is not. Or did the stranger seeds deceive your trust To leave a hollow stem that cannot grow? They were not your to alter or adjust Why love a hollow stem you do not know Turn from the ground and leave the dead grey stem You can not force a bloom to rise for them

Burn me That sizzling touch I crave Burn my skin untill It sticks and boils black and grey With this pain I relish In devils sin I sink and stay Every sight and mention Sticks me back to sizzle and strain In my own internal pain

Hello peoples! Made this account to post my poetry cause it helps with motivation to know it's being seen. I'm trying to get better at it so feel free to leave feedback on anything I post!!
My poetry is very personal to me as I use it as a way to express myself more than I normally would.

Lethargic In a dark damp pit of black he sits, no movement or breath he permits. Others watch and pass unknown to either. He sees himself and knows only his void, the endless black where ambition is destroyed. Like the light, all his senses are crushed. A pit this deep where the only escape is sleep and in his waking hours he can only weep. But this pit is not a depth unreachable, For it is dug by the darkness of his mind, and filled by its light.

Son of Mars Oh Venus you beauty of the sky Your gifts I see in every daughter But not I, for I am a son of Mars But Mars can be beautiful too But not me, those gift I do not open Would it be right to ask for your blessings? Am I one of Venus trapped in the brood of mars? Or does my skin fit my hand and I am just caught In your trance? Is beauty found elsewhere, am I just blind? At night, alone, the moon tells me my truth. But by the dawn my mind is locked on you. Venus I love you, I am obsessed But I am a son of Mars, and I must not Get caught in your eye. For me, it is a lie.
