Gods of Egypt is great to laugh at, but I do *love* some bad movies like The Last Witch Hunter, Dracula Untold, Constantine, the entire Underworld series, almost anything with time travel, etc.
Name your fav bad movie.

These 7 men at Cornell drugged & raped a woman for hours, then called their friends to come rape her.

2 men got expelled. 5 had to write letter of apology. 0 faced any consequences. Men throughout the societal ladder are complicit. Women are not safe around men.

MAAA (THE MEATLOAF)!
Trump's Iran War has sent mortgage rates skyrocketing.

His trade wars have increased the cost of construction.

His mass deportations have decimated the home-building workforce.

And his HUD cuts have devastated affordable housing programs.

"Make America Affordable Again."

Understanding requires representation paired with meaning. We have an abductive argument that humans understand. We do not have a similar argument for AI, which just uses algorithms to predict the next expected letter. Imagining AI "understands" demonstrates a lack of understanding of transformers.
What is happening in this AI debate:

-I am making a trivially true point about AI that makes people uncomfortable

-People want to not think or talk about it

-People are avoiding the point by mocking me for making it. How silly! He doesn't have credentials

-Conveniently the point goes unaddressed

EXCLUSIVE: The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe told Democracy Docket that it hasn’t received an invitation from the Trump administration to observe the midterms. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
Exclusive: These international observers have monitored US elections for decades. This time, the Trump admin didn’t invite them
It’s the latest ominous sign that the U.S. is backsliding on democracy — and adds to concerns that the administration wants to undermine the vote.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I want to highlight a memorial not far from my home. 4 days after 9/11, a racist shot and killed Balbir Singh Sodhi, a husband, father of five, and beloved member of his local Sikh community. His murder was the first hate crime in response to the attacks.

I laughed at this episode, but anyone who thinks its funnier than Don't Wake Standards and Practices is out of their gd mind.

I'd give it an 8.75/10 - Not to say it was a *Bad* episode, but 10/10 is wild.

I'd like to see this re-done w/ some reworked mechanics to even out the prizes and catches.
The reviews for Game Changer's new episode "What's the Catch" are in! 🎣

This is literally the architect of the Trump Admin's meme-ification of their entire comms presence.

Every time you've rolled your eyes at or scoffed at the indignity of a meme posted by the Trump team, it's because of this guy.

As we’ve known, it comes down to the same foundations as other fascist movements. It’s about THEIR freedom and THEIR “morality”. Family and Place are more about circling the wagons to protect the first two. At bottom, though, all of these are aimed at protecting conservative institutions of power.

Selection bias. Can anyone imagine a democrat happy in the presence of Trump?

Imagine a top ranking white house official saying something like this in 2010. It would be so explosive that it probably would end more careers than just his. Today, it's just fully expected that our government is run by immature, bigoted losers.
Stephen Miller: "It's very bold that Democrats would choose Texas to nominate their first transgender Senate candidate who's transitioning into a female. When Talarico goes in for a blood test, blood doesn't come out, instead soy milk comes out. This man has less testosterone than Jasmine Crockett."

My wife & I watched The Crash last night, and it is the most disorienting experience.

The editing makes it read like satire.

The tragedy & horror of a 17 year old girl crashing into a wall at 100mph is juxtaposed with the most cartoonishly high school edge-lord nonsense ¡including by the adults!

As someone from Louisiana, Landry has been noticeably an idiot for decades.

Between him and Kennedy, Louisiana really knows how to pick 'em

I also can't help but think he looks like a claymation figure. It does a lot to make him funnier.
Landry: "Greenland needs a deal. Greenland could be exporting 2 million barrels of oil a day right now. Think about what kind of pressure that would relieve in the Strait of Hormuz, what kind of leverage that would give America. It's time for the Danes to come to the table and let's get a deal done"

We've become numb to this stuff, but a president accusing a journalist of treason -- a capital crime -- for reporting on an ongoing war is not normal, and we should never accept it as normal.
Trump to NYT's David Sanger: "I had a total military victory. But the fake news, guys like you, write incorrectly. You're a fake guy. We had a total military victory. I actually think it's sort of treasonous what you write. You should be ashamed of yourself. I actually think it's treason."
