This broke my heart 💔 I literally cried for Madhuri. Absolute cruelty to #Elephants It's already terrible to endure decades of suffering before FINALLY finding relief in a sanctuary, but this is unimaginable #AnimalCruelty #SaveTheElephants www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwM0...

The future of coral reefs is worrying.

A recent report from the Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network found that a succession of marine heatwaves over the past three decades has destroyed at least 9.5% of the world's corals.

Under the guise of helping renewable energy, a new legislative package, cynically titled the "Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026," would give the fossil fuel industry massive long-term structural advantages and lock in thousands of fossil fuel projects.

The EU often claims ocean leadership, but leaders don't just speak, they act.

An ambitious #EUOceanAct must move from words to action by creating exclusive coastal fishing zones, reserved for low-impact and small-scale fishers only.

The T19s are changing their status from San Juan Spring whales to San Juan September whales! 🍂

We've had several encounters with them this month, including this evening right outside Friday Harbor where T19B Galiano did a spyhop next to his brother T19C Spouter.

Iceland’s 2026 fin whaling season has now ended with 93 whales killed but with nobody to sell them to. A perverse slaughter, but could these poor whales be the last to die at the hands of Icelandic whalers? 🤞👇

Another cruise ship has docked in Alaska with a dead endangered fin whale on its bow. 💔

Ships can kill these swimming giants in an instant as they hurtle through their habitat, and these collisions are one of the most frequent causes of premature death for several highly endangered marine mammals.

Norway’s 2026 whale hunt season has come to an end. Here are two key figures: 418 minke whales killed (but this does not include the unborn calves that die when pregnant females are shot). 1% of Norwegians regularly eat whale meat. This is a pointless slaughter. 👇
