Super happy I get to vote to elect the teacher, Lauren Jewett (D) to replace MAGA Steve Scalise (R-1st District) - basically all of Southeastern Louisiana.
Watch the interview to see why I'm not the only voter excited to vote for the Democrats running in ruby red, Louisiana.
If you missed it, here is my interview with @doitjewett.bsky.social about her campaign against Steve Scalise for congress! Louisiana is not as red as we think, people are mad & looking for alternatives. Lauren gives us at @thisspacetv.bsky.social a lesson in running for office! youtu.be/ViVKyBOHmF0

A Labor Day reminder: having a job is no longer enough to protect millions of Americans from homelessness.

For many workers, the greatest threat isn't losing their job. It's that their job will never pay enough, never provide enough hours, never offer enough stability to keep them housed.
Opinion | America Is Pushing Its Workers Into Homelessness (Gift Article)
The working homeless are casualties of our prosperity.

A local small farm near me has formed a co-op with a few others and are selling weekly veggie bags - small for $20 (the small is enough for my family of 5 for a week) and large for $30. Local, fresh, safe veggies! I'm roasting little zucchini and squash tonight for a salad.
