oh that's true! Their mannerisms, their names/nicknames, and their voices are very stereotypically Italian-American so that is what stood out to me the most admittedly. Oops

They're definitely based on the New York/New Jersey area of the US culturally, which ofc has influences of all those groups

I was under the impression that WoW Goblins are primarily Italian-American? which would be white, at least here in the US. tho, I know they also have some Jewish-American inspiration too (which has been dodgy before given the antisemitic history of goblins in fantasy but they were done well in UM)-
