My Uni (undergrad) experience was so bad. I soon stopped going to classes (unless they had a check-in system). Worked part-time and tried to make the best of my time. Finished in double the projected time.

Master's was different. Finished in the projected time, classes were fun and worked full-time

Man Ollama is amazing. I love bring your own model in Software. Should be the default everywhere.

I cannot explain how little I like Anthropic and Claude. Also, this meme got me blocked today on Twitter. Perhaps it does better here 😆

Day 1 of completely ditching Anthropic. Ollama cloud + Eastern models - maybe the grass is greener there.

It’s been a year since Charlie Kirk was brutally murdered. Many on this platform cheered for that: To them I can but say turn around. You don’t have to be that way. Bishop Barron shared a message, applies to both Europe and the US.

Peace be with you all.

Wife and I are rewatching Lost right now. I didn’t notice initially, but what are the odds that you survive a plane crash on a tropical island with SIX people who have committed murder?!?

Remember playing WC3 for the first time? Damn, that last mission at Nordrassil. Everybody banding together to start the big bad.

What an absolutely fantastic climax to a flawless game.

I really need to finish my blog to publish an article on cognitive decline when overusing LLMs to vibe code. This has had me really worried and I can see, in my bubble, more ppl talking about it - finally.

#Omarchy has been a fantastic OS. Been using it for quite some time and it’s really a low barrier of entry for the average user. Brought back like to my ThinkPad. 👌👌👌
Can recommend!

I miss going to Costco. Can't wait to travel to the US again. Such a fun store.

Moduliths are pretty darn cool, NGL. Once wrote a modulith because we weren't quite sure if it should be a single service or multiple ones (2+). My team was quite new to this by then (8y ago).
Went with a modulith, it gave us the power to organize and the confidence we could scale if necessary.
Spring Modulith gives you clean domain boundaries and event-driven decoupling without microservice network latency or ops overhead. You get strict architecture inside a single app, letting you move fast now and split into microservices later only if real scaling demands it.

Lol, just had to re-login with Claude and... it doesn't work. We have AI but we still don't have reliable SSO.

Can't tell you how friggin proud I am of my little girl, she's just such an amazing little angel. 🥰 She now starts repeating words and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I haven’t posted here in a while! I’ve been lately playing and utilizing Tailscale a lot more. Now with an added Mullvad exit node. I absolutely dig this piece of tech.
Use case: Scattered computers all within my own network, reachable easily via SSH. 👌👌👌

Omarchy feels like a well tailored experience. I haven't had this so far with other distros, except maybe SteamOS 😅

Can’t believe how rough of a watch King of Queens is in the later seasons. Doug is essentially checked out, looks after a lot of other women, constantly lies to Carrie, and overall refuses to grow professionally. And Carrie? Just a bully. Feels like boomerslop.

Trying DHH's new system, Omarch Quattro. First look, seems like an improvement, esp. for non-Arch Users, like me. It comes with a lot of nice convenience features (stay awake for vibe-coders) on the desktop, a tiling window manager and plenty of opinionated software, that matches my taste.

Mass with a toddler (who had a rough night) is hard, but so worth it. We missed Fr today, he sent someone else, but Sunday Mass has really been something special for us for the past 5 years or so. Despite today not really being able to process everything.
Here's a picture to illustrate its beauty:
