A handwritten message left on a bottle of Black & White Scotch whisky 67 years ago has been found behind a staircase during the refurbishment of Liversage Trust's #almshouses in London Road, Derby, where a £3.4m refurbishment project is taking place.

Construction has begun on 16 new #almshouses in central Cambridge. The Foundation of Edward Storey is creating sustainable, affordable homes for older people in housing need - another great example of modern almshouses meeting today's housing challenges.

For over 70 years, a generous legacy has funded Christmas vouchers for almshouse residents aged 90+. This year, 816 residents in their 90s & 100s received festive cheer. A powerful reminder of the lasting impact of a gift in a Will.
