Good to see you got it working! I do remember the software side being insufferable and that's really kept me from digging further into modernizing my Gamecube but I'll have to get back to it some year and deal with similar problems.

Very good and useful to know before you try digging into something.
I just finished a case swap and joystick replacement on Joycon 2s and in those the joystick and cap were one unit which sucked because it meant I couldn't swap out the second joystick for a TMR one which is what made me ask.

Hell yeah! Do you know if the joysticks are like separate parts and you're only replacing the cap or are they one part and you need to replace the whole unit?
