I like video games.
Oh yeah, I bought Galley House on day 1 to support the team. Definitely want to play through it before the end of the year, just waiting a little longer to see if that helps me forget more stuff from Type Help so it's a bit more fresh of a playthrough haha.

Just checked it out for a little bit and wow, what a look it has. And the story is super intriguing so far. Between this and Type Help which I played at the beginning of the year, I need to be more open to browser-based games!

So we collaborated, multiple authors contributing, on our take. And although featuring only arguably indie games, we nod at AAA titles we deserve to be acknowledged.

Just beat it in a couple sittings after seeing this recommendation and that was a heck of an experience. I'm still trying to piece the narrative together in my mind but what a singular, unsettling artistic statement.

I'm very much a shmup novice but that reminds me I've been meaning to give this another try since they added an auto-fire option in the last year or two in an update. I remember loving the vibe and simple power-up options.

I’m going to give this another proper try this weekend after seeing this! I tried a year or two ago and was really struggling with the controls but I was enjoying everything else about it.

Just wanted to say thanks for highlighting this! I'm not particularly familiar with Doom mods/Doom-inspired projects but I played through the first level this morning and I'm VERY intrigued. Absolutely love the style and presentation. It's pretty hard on normal for me though haha.

It really just depends on the game for me. Slay the Spire 2 feels so complete and fun already so it’ll definitely be on my GOTY list this year. But there are other early access games where I envision a much better game with the full release so I wait until then to consider it for GOTY.

Whoa, very cool! I still need to go back and beat Unbeatable (heh). I've always wanted to go to a GDQ in person and bought tickets for SGDQ2026 a few days ago so hopefully this run is happening on one of the days I'm there! *fingers crossed*
