Boston pro team have always been willing to jettison proven AA athletes (see Mookie Betts, HoFer Richard Seymour) who make franchise saving contributions (see Jaylen Brown, Malcolm Butler) while keeping average players on the roster. It’s no wonder players don’t want 2 b here. Good luck AJ Brown.

I think what the Celtics have done is even worse than what the Mavericks did via the Luka trade . Nico was raked over the coals. Stevens will be hailed as a savvy basketball mind. This is why I pull for players and not teams.

Why don’t commentators and analysts hold Luka and Austin Reeves accountable for being better defenders? I would not want to play for the Lakers where your top two players are defensive liabilities, and three players are on the hook for guarding five.

Just an observation as a guy who has been in New England for awhile. AJ Brown will hate it here. I know he prefers being a star to winning a Super Bowl, but he will not find it here. He will get no credit and the expectationsfrom the media and fans will be irrational.

If the Nuggets don’t win this game then I will have to look at Jokic differently. Isn’t that the NBA-narrative? The best player should win or he’s a failure, doesn’t have a clutch gene, is not a winner? That’s the standard I will use. The Nuggets have the experience and a 3-4x MVP. They should win.
