A friend gifted me a sourdough starter last weekend. I have made my first loaf and I am not sure I have a sourdough lifestyle. Who has 2 days of setting timers and staying home to make a loaf of bread? It tastes good but I might rather spend $10 at a fancy bakery rather than do all this work.

Working in a communal office and there is one person who only fills up the kitchen kettle with enough water for themselves…. shows just how selfish a person can be.
(for the record I will fill and turn it on if I use the last of the water so the next person has some)

I still get Xmas money from my parents (weird at 51, I know!!) so I decided to splurge and get a Dyson Airwrap which was delivered last night. I’m going to spend the day learning how to use it rather than doomscrolling and learn how the world is falling apart.

Driving down a dark busy side street and 3 pedestrians walked out between parked cars into traffic wearing all black. We slammed on the brakes where I (the passenger) blare the horn. And then? Rolled down the windows to yell “DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!” Ugh.

The decision of Mark Carney to sign an MOU with Alberta is my last straw. It’s not even the pipeline so much as the utter disregard for UNDRIP and the people of BC. Everyone should be at the table. So now I’m in the process of cancelling my Victory Fund donations.

Was going to be a lazy, quiet Sunday but so far I’ve unexpectedly had a helicopter land right outside my apartment (to transport some sort of heavy equipment), done a Pilates class and put up the Christmas tree. NOW it’s is lazy time!

Taking an extra day of vacation when coming home from the trip is my favourite life hack. Mentally reset, clean, do a hair mask, go to a Pilates class. The best.
